Getting Started with Ipad
Before I started this class I had a personal iPad and thought that I knew everything that I could possibly need to know about the product. Boy, was I mistaken!!! When Kuhn had us download the iPad Starter Guide, I thought it would be another "One of those assignments" that I didn't need to do. The first couple of chapters were the basics that I had already known about the product. But then the new stuff came in. The lesson that I learned and think it is the coolest thing to be able to use is the Slide Over. Already I am using it in all my classes. Being able to work on one thing, but at the same time I can do additional research or even multitask is allowing me to stay on top of my classwork. Another aspect that I was able to learn was the 3-D map views. When in the classroom, I wont be able to show the students things that I did in Thailand for Agriculture, but I can however take them on a virtual field trip. This assignment opened my eyes to the content that I will be learning this year and I am excited to see what else Kuhn has in store for us. Without a doubt, this is a class everyone should take before teaching. If you are a future teacher, go ahead and go to Apple Teacher and get started.
